In other words, how long has it been since the things were deleted or lost will have a significant impact on the likelihood of recovering G Suite data using regular Google recovery.

You only have 30 to 60 days with ordinary G Suite recovery before data is completely deleted:

Within 60 days, deleted G Suite emails can be retrieved. When emails are removed, Google stores them in the Trash label for 30 days unless the Trash is cleaned out earlier. Deleted Google Drive, Shared Drives files, and (entire) Shared Drives can be restored within 55 days after they have been removed from the Trash, where Google maintains them in addition for 30 days. The method for retention is nearly identical to that for email messages.

Within 30 days of deletion, users can recover deleted Contacts and Calendar events. G Suite admins have 20 days to retrieve deleted G Suite user accounts, including G Suite administrator accounts.

Although Google may occasionally be able to assist, there are no built-in G Suite solutions to Recover G Suite Account (complete organisational accounts).
